Fox News Live Feed

Among the criteria that channels must have among subscribers of cable or satellite television services interested in local and international news is Fox News. This news channel truly lives up to its motto, We Report, You Decide, to report events as they happen as objectively as possible (except for the occasional editorial bit). Reports on anything under the sun that is worth reporting to the majority of the viewing and listening audience, from national news to international news, local news, business, finance, politics, entertainment, sports, and just about anything else that needs to be revealed to the public.

Thanks to the expansion of the Internet, you don't even have to be in front of your TV at home to get the latest news from this world leader in news reporting. Among the sites you can visit to get Fox News Live Feed, of course, is foxnews! Simply point your browser to that site and choose from several available options, including the slightly delayed Fox News Live video feed you normally see on TV.

Unfortunately, Fox News has decided to discontinue this very useful source at the expense of the millions of Internet users who do not have access to cable or satellite channels. As a weak alternative, by clicking on the VIDEOS button on the site, you have the option to view various media files on many interesting topics at your convenience. This option, of course, provides dated information and is not like watching the news as it happens (almost).

In January 2007, Fox News introduced a new service that allows anyone with a mobile phone in the United States to access Fox News Live Feed in audio format. The monthly subscription fee for this service is $2.99. An additional fee per minute applies for this service. Mobile subscribers simply call #FOXN on their mobile to access this service, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

While this is a good news alternative and has attracted some interest, it still falls short of the color that appears when watching video with audio news. One criticism is that as it is a paid service and not free, the content must be organized in such a way that it is immediately informative so that the resulting cost is not too high.

There are many blog sites lamenting the fact that Fox News has stopped providing live feeds for its news programs, in coordination with similar moves by other major news networks. These sites express their sadness and disappointment that there is a need for breaking news in areas where there is no access to Fox News and similar cable or satellite news channels. While Fox News has somewhat addressed this issue with its live audio broadcasts via mobile phones, this is not a free service and is exclusive to audio. There are suggestions that Fox News resurrect its live feeds online, even if it's for membership with an adequate and reasonable service fee.
